Connect2Play ("we", "us", or "our") is a sports-partner discovery application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Connect2Play mobile application and related services.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information, including your nickname, email address, gender, and password-related credentials.
  • Sports preferences, skill category, selected city or town, and availability.
  • Posts and advertisements you create to find sports partners.
  • Messages and other content you send through in-app chat.
  • Reports, support requests, and feedback you submit.

Information collected automatically

We may receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device type, app version, operating system, IP address, diagnostic logs, and timestamps. Connect2Play does not use precise GPS tracking; locations are selected manually by users.

2. How we use information

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Display relevant player posts based on sport and selected city.
  • Enable messaging between users.
  • Send service, account, message, and new-post notifications.
  • Prevent abuse, investigate reports, and protect users.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the application.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing, service providers, and international transfers

We may share information with trusted service providers that host data, deliver notifications or email, provide security, or help operate the service. They may process information only for the services they provide to us and subject to appropriate safeguards.

Your nickname, sport, skill category, selected city, and posts may be visible to other users as part of the app's intended functionality. Private messages are visible to their participants.

When personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized safeguards where required.

4. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Some posts and notifications may expire automatically according to the rules shown in the app. You may request account deletion.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your privacy choices and GDPR rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal information.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of eligible information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Complain to your local data-protection authority.
To exercise a privacy right or request account deletion, use the support or reporting option available inside Connect2Play. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner.

6. Children's privacy

Connect2Play is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it where required.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update its effective date.
